About Sylvia Colley

Sylvia Colley has been making up stories in her head and writing them down ever since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She was born in Hampshire and has lived in Pinner, Middlesex since 1958. Sylvia Colley became a teacher and spent many years as Head of English at the Purcell School in North London before retiring to focus on writing. She has published two books of poetry,’Juliet’ and ‘ It’s Not What I Wanted Though’ and three novels: Ask Me to Dance, Lights on Dark Water and Arms Around Frank Richardson to be publishe on June 16th 2022.

When not writing, Sylvia loves gardening on her allotment, keeping chickens and is a talented jewellery maker. She has included some images with description of some of her jewellery.
